{"id":1289,"date":"2017-02-06T22:38:09","date_gmt":"2017-02-06T22:38:09","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/immanuelpracticum.com\/book\/?p=1289"},"modified":"2017-02-06T22:38:09","modified_gmt":"2017-02-06T22:38:09","slug":"safe-jesus","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/immanuelpracticum.com\/book\/safe-jesus\/","title":{"rendered":"Safe With Jesus"},"content":{"rendered":"<div id=\"attachment_1290\" style=\"width: 265px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><a href=\"https:\/\/immanuelpracticum.com\/book\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/02\/Strong-Tower.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-1290\" class=\"wp-image-1290 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/immanuelpracticum.com\/book\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/02\/Strong-Tower.jpg\" alt=\"Strong Tower\" width=\"255\" height=\"181\" \/><\/a><p id=\"caption-attachment-1290\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">&#8220;The name of the Lord is a strong tower; the righteous run into it and are safe&#8221; Proverbs 18:10<\/p><\/div>\n<p><em><strong>The Lord \u2013 Our Safe Place<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<p>In a leadership class I am taking for school, I was assigned to watch a video on leadership.\u00a0 What came up was this video by Simon Sinek called \u201cWhy Good Leaders Make You Feel Safe.\u201d\u00a0 Here is a link to the video if you are interested:<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" width=\"1080\" height=\"608\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/lmyZMtPVodo?start=636&#038;feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>The concept is that as a leader of an organization (be it a business, a church, a family, etc\u2026), we need to create an environment of safety for the people in the organization. \u00a0Then the people and the organization can excel.\u00a0 The reason for this is that in a safe environment, people are able to explore without feeling analyzed and judged.\u00a0 In such an environment, people can grow in their identity.\u00a0 They can try new things, new ideas and even feel OK with failing in those efforts.\u00a0 Because the safety makes space for failure, and facilitates learning and growth from those failures.\u00a0 A safe environment is a place of trust and cooperation.\u00a0 Even discipline and correction can occur from this place of safety and not be fear \/ power based.<\/p>\n<p>In an unsafe environment, which is unfortunately much more common, you see control, fear, shame, guilt, condemnation, power\u2026<\/p>\n<p>Well, shortly after watching this video, I was coaching an Immanuel session.\u00a0 The Receiver, after connecting with Jesus, reported that he felt safe.\u00a0 It hit me immediately.\u00a0 The Lord connected the dots for me.\u00a0 These are the principles from the video I had just watched.\u00a0 Jesus is our ultimate safe place!\u00a0 Actually as we get to know Him more and more and get to experience His true character, we learn that He is the ONLY safe One.<\/p>\n<p>In Him, we are given a safe place to grow in our true identity.\u00a0 In Him, we can explore and try new things in our gifting and talents without fear of failure.\u00a0 In Him there is never guilt, shame, condemnation.\u00a0 In fact, there is an utter absence of these things.\u00a0 He doesn\u2019t try to control and doesn\u2019t force His will on us in a show of power.\u00a0 WOW!<\/p>\n<p>He can even correct and discipline from this place out of His Father\u2019s heart.\u00a0 And we are able to receive it.<\/p>\n<p>If we don\u2019t have this feeling of safety with Him (and none of us do perfectly), Immanuel sessions are the place to work on it.\u00a0 We can get His help to heal the underlying issues and blocks that keep us from experiencing His perfect safety and begin to live from this place more and more.<\/p>\n<p>Then from this safe place, we are able to take on the dangers that surround us in our lives.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Lord \u2013 Our Safe Place In a leadership class I am taking for school, I was assigned to watch a video on leadership.\u00a0 What came up was this video by Simon Sinek called \u201cWhy Good Leaders Make You Feel Safe.\u201d\u00a0 Here is a link to the video if you are interested: The concept is [&hellip;]<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":3,"featured_media":0,"comment_status":"closed","ping_status":"open","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"_et_pb_use_builder":"","_et_pb_old_content":"","_et_gb_content_width":"","footnotes":""},"categories":[11],"tags":[41,28,25,27,29,23,13,16,14,31,26,20,19,24,15,50,51,38],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v23.8 - https:\/\/yoast.com\/wordpress\/plugins\/seo\/ -->\n<title>Safe With Jesus - Immanuel: A Practicum<\/title>\n<meta name=\"description\" content=\"Jesus is our only true safe place \/ person.
