{"id":1066,"date":"2016-06-10T16:26:19","date_gmt":"2016-06-10T16:26:19","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/immanuelpracticum.com\/book\/?p=1066"},"modified":"2016-06-10T16:26:19","modified_gmt":"2016-06-10T16:26:19","slug":"abide-in-me","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/immanuelpracticum.com\/book\/abide-in-me\/","title":{"rendered":"Abide In Me"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Jesus talked to His disciples in John 15 about what it means to abide in Him. \u00a0His goal is to have an intimate relationship with us. \u00a0He uses the word &#8220;abide&#8221; to teach us of His intentions to never leave us and to have an indwelling, constant connection with us. One result of abiding in Jesus is fruit (actually verse 5 says, &#8220;much fruit!&#8221;). But we cannot bear fruit unless we abide in the vine (verse 4). \u00a0<!--more-->Another result of abiding in Jesus is answered prayer. \u00a0He says that whatever we ask of Him, it will be done (verse 7). \u00a0We don&#8217;t just throw our prayers up into the heavens and hope God hears. \u00a0Instead, from this place of abiding with Jesus, we can look at Him and we can talk to Him directly&#8230;And actually get a response.
